Data License | ZenHodl

This license applies to all data downloaded from ZenHodl, including CSV files, API responses, datasets, and predictions.

Effective: March 23, 2026

Grant of License

ZenHodl grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, single-user license to use downloaded data for your own personal trading research and analysis. This license is tied to the account that downloaded the data.

You MAY:

Use data for personal trading decisions
Build private models, backtests, and analysis using the data
Store data locally on devices you control
Reference aggregate statistics (e.g. "ZenHodl's NCAAMB model has 73.8% WR") with attribution

You MAY NOT:

Resell or redistribute data in any form (raw, processed, derived, or aggregated)
Share CSV files, datasets, or API outputs with anyone — including friends, colleagues, Discord servers, Telegram groups, or forums
Publish raw data to GitHub, Kaggle, Google Drive, or any public/semi-public platform
Build a competing product using ZenHodl data (e.g. a competing API, dashboard, or alerts service)
Remove or alter license headers, watermarks, or fingerprint tokens embedded in files
Transfer your license to another person or entity

Fingerprinting & Enforcement

Every file downloaded from ZenHodl contains embedded digital fingerprints — your email address and a unique download token are written into the file header. These identifiers are invisible to most CSV parsers but allow us to trace any leaked file back to the originating account.

If we discover redistributed data, we will:

Immediately terminate the offending account
Revoke all API keys and access
Pursue statutory damages under copyright law (up to $150,000 per work infringed under US law)
Seek recovery of legal costs and attorney's fees

Intellectual Property

All data, models, Elo ratings, probability estimates, edge signals, and training datasets are original works created by ZenHodl and are protected by copyright. Purchasing a dataset or subscribing to the API grants you a usage license, not ownership of the underlying intellectual property.

Termination

This license terminates automatically if you breach any of these terms. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of ZenHodl data in your possession. Sections relating to intellectual property, liability, and enforcement survive termination.
